I found that Dr. Pettis was very receptive to my discussions.  He had heard 
about "The Muck" and was very interested in what I was saying.  Overall, I 
thought Jeff's comments were well measured and I think he was misquoted on 
what he had said prior to coming to Australia.  I was privy to some of his 
media interviews and I was comfortable with what he said.  Maybe the initial 
hype is over and things will now settle down to a proper scientific review.
