Hotspots, Plumes and LIPs:  Everything's Coming Up Igneous!

Join us online, October 2nd, 6:30pm – 8:00pm Eastern Time, and learn from
our hotspot experts! In continuation of last year's free NSDL/NSTA web
seminar, Plate Tectonics: Made to Order, join Dr. Anthony Koppers, Associate
Professor of Marine Geology and Geophysics at Oregon State University and
Dr. Chris Massell Symons of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography as we
dive further into the depths of volcanoes to study the formation of
hotspots, mantle plumes and LIPs (Large Igneous Provinces). They will also
showcase NSDL resources from ERESE (Enduring Resources for Earth Science
Education), available free for your use in your programming and teacher
professional development endeavors. You won't want to miss it!
