Re: the question on mango
According to The Directory of Important World Honey
Sources (IBRA (1984) Crane, Walker and day), mango
(Mangifera indica L.) is a major nectar source in Haiti,
India, Jamaica and Venezuela. Nectar secretion is
reduced by cold and drought. Juice from damaged fruit may
be collected by bees and flavours the honey. Bees are
reported to forage on leaves (either for honeydew or
?extrafloral nectar).
Honey flow: honey yield moderate, 23 kg per colony per
season.
Honey is reddish amber, may be very dark. Flavour is
described as "interesting".
