Thank you for the link, Bill. It provides a very good start. 

I'm looking specifically for brick pavers involved with road
construction for any historic road within Indiana. We at INDOT are
putting together a historic context concerning the use of brick pavers
and roads within Indiana in order to have a context to determine their
significance in regards to the National and State Registers.
