If you have an example item that you want to acquire, try to find it's manufacturer.  Manufacturers generally will tell you who to contact in their supply chain.   Good merchants don't divulge sources.   There are also annual and seasonal trade shows where you can find 'THE LATEST THING" for the price of admission.  Also, there's ebay and disposal sales where surplus gets unloaded..  Don't ever spend more than you can afford to lose uless you've seen the merchandise first.
