"Slavery's Buried Past" is currently out of print and unavailable from the producer, Kurtis Productions. "The New Explorers" series was caught in a switchover from PBS to History Channel and it seems only the History Channel episodes are currently available.

BUT... as fortune would have it, I own a copy on VHS and I am burning it to DVD for convenient use in classroom situations.

I thought it was a very well done episode. Excellent portrayal of the community engagement context of the African Burial Ground study and an encounter with Chesapeake plantation archaeology featuring Williamsburg's own Garrett Fesler and Maria Franklin. Plus, there are just enough slightly out of date clothing and haircuts to keep it entertaining throughout.

Please contact me offline for further details.
