I'm new on this is list and find it very stimulating to discuss music on a
world-wide basis. Not many people seem to have heard the lovevly French
baroque composer Charpentier so I thoght that I might do some advertising.
If there are any of you living near Gothenburg, Sweden (I've seen one guy
on the list so far) you can come to a concert o the 21/3 in Harlanda kyrka
18.00 with my choir, Mikaeli sengare, + a small orchestra. We will be
doing Missa Assumpta est Maria, a beatiful piece of music datad from 1699.
For those of you who cannot attend I recommend the recordning by Les Arts
Florissants and William Christie, a favourite of mine. Stay away from the
English one directed by Ivan Bolton, Christie is in a class of itits own
