Does anyone on HISTARCH have a copy of the following report:
Kidder, Fred W. 1981 Final Report: Archaeological Reconnaissance of Sky
Oaks, Chihuahua Valley, San Diego County. Systems Ecology/Biology Group.
In the September 1982, Volume 1 No 1 issue of the SDSU Casual Papers (page
95), there was a notation of current research by Fred W. Kidder at the Sky
Oaks Biological Field Station in the upper San Luis Rey River drainage. The note
says that currently a test excavation is underway on an 1890's general store
and house foundation. Fred had written a final report in 1981 with this
citation:
We are also trying to find out anything about the general store and house he
was working on, as that was my first field project.
