Our Grossology event last year featured :
dissection of owl pellets
examination of parts from a butcher shop (organs, joints, etc.)
making slime and oobleck in our science area
a bugs expert who demonstrated his cockroaches, tarantula, etc.
an animal "scat" table (visitors had to identify animals from their (plastic
molded) poop.
a Vet table teaching kids about heartworm in pets (with an appropriately
disgusting sample jar)
an odor station with jars of garlic, mussels, blue cheese, etc.)
a mold terrarium station
and more!
