ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Echo many of the comments earlier.

I wanted to add the Kroller-Muller Museum in the Dutch countryside.
http://www.kmm.nl/
It has a sculpture garden so large that visitors are given free
bicycles to tour it.

This art museum allows/encourages visitors to have hands-on
interactions with the
sculptures - at least this was the case in the 1980s. There's a huge
Dubuffet you can climb around on,
a Claus Oldenberg visitors can touch and many others. Coming from a
hands-on perspective, I really appreciated being able to experience
art this way.
