ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

There's a deadline approaching for participation in the Big Read, a program
designed to encourage reading and discussion, sponsored by the National
Endowment for the Arts and IMLS. Grants (to U.S. community organizations,
which can include museums) are small, but applying isn't difficult. Right
now, the list of Big Read books includes Fahrenheit 451, and we're hoping
science titles are added. A small number of science-related museums have
participated. Smaller organizations, and those with reading programs or
library connections might want to look into it. 
 
Letters of intent, due January 11, are encouraged. The deadline for
applications is February 12. Information is here:
