Arte Nova has released a delightful disc of two Conradin Kreutzer chamber
works.  One is a septet for wind, brass, and string instruments; the other
is one of Kreutzer's piano trios.  These two works do not attempt to plumb
any depths.  They simply provide extremely pleasant listening.

I found the septet particularly rewarding; the recorded sound is very rich
and deep.  It suited the work to a tee.  At the Arte Nova price, this is a
disc that is irresistable.
