I dunno about Alexander Tcherepnin.  I sat through two nights of his 4
symphonies and 2 piano concertos (5+6) and I can't totally grasp his style,
nevertheless his music only sounds (superficially) Chinese in his 3rd
symphony ("Chinese").  I thought his style rather oblique, not to say
diffuse and unfocussed.
