Individually, are these items listed above approved for use in the hive?  Are they considered food grade material and thus don't come under the eye of legal considerations?  

Now that we have this concoction, has there been tests run under the scientific method or are the results anecdotal?  Not knocking anecdotal because sometimes that's the way things are brought to attention and tests run to either corroborate or refute the anecdotal evidence.
