ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

We rent out our facility. We have a set price per floor and an
additional fee for the CineDome Theater. The center can be rented with
or without Science center staff to facilitate/entertain during the
evening.

We do allow the whole facility to be booked during hours when we would
be open to the general public, however we charge an additional
inconvenience fee and give discount coupons to the general public who do
arrive to visit only to find the center closed.

We have a catering service that people can use or we have a (10%-20%)
catering charge if they bring their own food into the center.

We do allow food and drink in the exhibit area during these events. (so
far no problems)

The Rentals that work the best for us-financially and mission include:
companies that rent us for employee and family socials and companies
that rent us for the employees and their families to visit through-out
the day at their leisure (often we can still be open to the general
public)

Rentals that work the best financially involve a bar. (We are looking
for ways to add science to the bar, layered drinks and test-tube shots.)

Hi- does anyone have experience with renting out their museum space,
specifically as a revenue generator, to groups, businesses, for
fundraiser space, meetings, etc.? Pro's and con's?

Thanks,
