We do it all the time. We have rates for dark hours when the Centre is not open and charge a premium if the Centre is open. When the Centre is open we will not allow the whole facility to be booked. We also try to ensure that none of our programming areas (classrooms, computer lab, galleries) are off line during school hours since it would be contrary to our mission.
As for generating revenue, we have our own in-house catering that makes good money off events that happen here.
