So far it is anecdotal that chlorine is effective against either of these
nosemas. If it turns out that experiments prove it so great. On the other
hand it may also be possible that some of the essential oils would be as
effective with possibly longer exposed shelf life (slower outgassing) and
possibly easier application methods, without syrup feeding and dribbling?
Hopefully someone will take the time and effort to investigate this. I use
oil of wintergreen in veg oil soaked napkins for trachea mites. Have next to
zero nosema 'symptoms'. Not very scientific but at least a glimmer of
possibly being effective.
