Hello,
I am a graduate student working on a thesis involving designing a traveling exhibit. In working on a business plan, a few questions came up, and I would like to ask you for your help.

What is the approximate number of traveling exhibits for science museums that currently exist? How many science museums have spaces and budget allotted for these traveling exhibits within US? internationally?

What is the approximate cost to hire a designer for designing a traveling exhibit? Is it normally per job or by hours?

Who are some of the for-profit traveling exhibit companies?

What is the best way to figure out the building cost for a traveling exhibit? I understand it depends on the component and materials used, but where can I find numbers I can base my calculations? I guess one obvious answer is to contact fabricators, but are there any other ways to approach figuring out approximate building costs?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  Thank you!
  Ashley Yu
