Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Hi everyone,
This seems like a question that's probably been asked a million
times, but searching the archives turned up very few hits....
We're gearing up for our 40th anniversary next year, and one of the
projects is revamping our wayfinding systems on the floor. (Or
possibly "inventing wayfinding systems for our floor" is closer to
the real situation... our building is notoriously hard to grok, and
our current 'wayfinding system' has become a real hodgepodge after 40
years.)
So, an open-ended query: can anyone suggest resources, starting
points, reading materials, experiences, best practices, consultants
you've used, etc, to help us embark on a wayfinding project?
Thanks for any guidance!
