A cheap alternate is to use a gobo light.  Not "interactive", but I've seen
kids run and chase them aplenty.

Does anyone know of a supplier of the video motion sensor floor
displays? The scenes change and children seem to love chasing the fish
or butterflies along the floor.  I have seen them at malls and museums -
most recently at the Toronto Science Center.  Please reply off list -
thanks!
