ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Budd Wentz has recently been showing how to make simple laminated
"slides" for the Wentzscope using a small business card laminating
machine available at office supply stores like Staples.

He creates a business card-sized paper insert with a hole punched
through it, then places an object (like sand, fly wing, etc. etc.)
into the circle on the laminating pouch/paper sandwich and runs it
through the machine. You could print out whatever you like on the
paper insert (Museum logo, information about object, etc.)

It's fast and easy. It's also the kind of thing that could be
adapted to workshop programs at museums with microscopes.

If you're going to the ASTC conference in Louisville, Budd will
probably be demonstrating the process at his booth.
