If you do aerogel it would be both fun and truthful to label the
packages as comet catchers.
Another cheap and effective choice are the "happy and sad" balls: two
identical looking black rubber balls about 3/4" diameter. One is
sorbothane, with about a 5% bounce and the other is neoprene with about
a 90% bounce. The packages you hand out could be labeled "Materials
Matter". The two balls juxtaposed have the great qualities of
experimental play that is thought provoking. It will get those VIP's
playing.
