Which, to a very large extent, defines proper beekeeping. You manage the
problems. I find it difficult to wrap my arms around "leave them alone"
beekeeping since no successful beekeeper does so. We all manage our
local problems.
Also, please remember that there is a big difference between your winter
conditions and ours in Maine. If I lived in Maryland, then your advice
might be appropriate, since the climates are similar.
