I quite often find my fall honey crop to be as light or almost as light as my summer honey. The 2005 fall crop was darker and didn't taste quite like goldenrod to me. I sent a sample to a friend who IDed it as bamboo. Maybe that is what you have there.

   I was wondering
about the floral source. I've read goldenrod honey color is light
yellow-brown. Is aster honey dark brown? Could there be another
nectar source?
