Although I don't have any suggestions for Alissa, I was so struck by her final comments and the fact that just this morning I had a conversation about the sharing nature of our museum world, that I had to reply with a "hear, hear"!

Have a wonderful weekend everybody...

I ask this question every so often in hopes of getting fresh new answers.

What are your favorite unstaffed floor activities? The limitations are to be expected: easily explained; no choking hazards, scissors or anything else small kids could hurt themselves with; inexpensive (we know how visitors walk off with stuff).

I've tried assorted puzzles, blocks and other building challenges (stack cups or boxes), but I'm always on the lookout for new ideas. This is one of the things I love about our "industry"--we share stuff, there's no hording of ideas or "intellictual property." It's great.

thanks in advance!

The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, is not "Eureka!" (I found it!) but "That's funny..." --Isaac Asimov
