When I was a staff member at COSI in the 1960's a young student sent me this
note after her visit:

"Thank you for showing us what exciting things there are left in the world."

This sums up my memory of Don Herbert as Mr. Wizard. When I was a middle
school student in the 1950's he did more to inspire my, and my siblings',
interest in science than anything that happened in school. I am also certain
that his brand of science had a major influence on the development of all
Science Centers as well as the efforts for hands-on science learning.
Looking at what he did and how he did it is still very informative to our
programs.
