I was thinking the same thing (that they need to inform the police there). The hotel may not be reporting the crime...if who is being told are all "in on it"... ??
Just my suspicious nature.

Subject: Re: Credit theft at Amelia Island Hotel
Hello Everyone,
I want to urge anyone who had their card information stolen to contact the
Nassau County police asap and file a police report and get the report
number. I was fortunate not to have my information stolen on this trip,
however, I went through this last year and needed my police report
information to clear the dozens of fraudulent charges that came up.
Good luck!
