Though I already included Walter Klien in my list of the great pianists
ignored by Philips, I again concur 200% with Joseph and Mimi Ezust here.
If anyone's Brahms can be called definitive, it was Kliens's, and I daresay
much the same can be said about his Mozart and Schubert (the latter - the
complete sonatas - already been reissued on CD by Vox). But his Brahms -
well, it's simply the Brahms playing of one's dreams....
