I was wondering about that, since I had never heard of compositions by
Bartok by those names. I messed up when I consulted a handy filmography to
check my memory and misread the tiny type. The Bartok piece was actually
'Music for Strings, Percussion, and Celeste'; the Pendereski works were
also used in the film. Sorry for the confusion.
This may be an appropriate point to acknowledge that Stanley Kubrick died
yesterday, age 70.
