Actually, there is a Cecil B. Demille Ben Hur movie set in a sand dune north
of Los Angeles that John Parker tried to raise Hollywood money to excavate
about fifteen years ago. I think he still dreams of raising the funds.
Underneath the shifting sands are monumental plaster of paris statues and other
ruins, as well as the camp debris from 1920s movie making. Another problem
presents itself, once you dig it up, who wants plaster statuary?
