Try this. It is not Indiana but Frankfort, KY is not far.
Hockensmith, Charles P.

Archaeological Study of The Kentucky History Center Site. Occasional
Reports in Archaeology, No. 1. Kentucky Heritage Council, Frankfort.
Also, there is an International Brick Collectors Association. They publish
a journal with articles, which can be useful. They probably have a website,
but I don't know what it is.

Subject: Sources for use and manufacture of brick pavers
Sorry for any duplicate posting. I didn't see this go out yesterday.
I was wondering if anyone knew of some good sources that discuss the
history of brick pavers and their manufacture. Anything specific to
Indiana would be ideal, but right now I'm just looking for general
information.
Thank you!
