Jeffrey James:
>New York NY - The Piano Concerto No. 3 of Benjamin Lees will be given
>its World Premiere performances by pianist Ian Hobson and the Florida
>Orchestra, led by their Associate Conductor Susan Haig, in three upcoming
>concerts on the west coast of Florida:
I am glad for the people on the west coast of Florida, some of whom I
know, and I am glad this work is being premiered, but I have to confess
I am sad that the work of this fine composer is not being presented first
in a more prominent venue.
My review of a recording of Lees' first piano concerto, and Steve
Schwartz review of a recording of Lees' second piano concerto can be
seen at www.classical.net under Reviews.
