Randy:
I went to Mann Lake Woodland today. I brought along a high
quality mm ruler.I measured ten cells center of wall to
center of wall, and measured cells in all three directions,
at several places on the comb.
Virtually all measurements came out at 50mm.
Therefore, the cell size appears to be 5.0mm.
Reply:
First of all I am in the process of measuring the combs
sent to be by Mann Lake. Second Randy, you here are
measuring plastic foundation, and not real beeswax combs,or
wax foundation taking into consideration how it is
embossed, and there is a big difference with all,in doing
actual real measurements, so don't be so quick here.
As for splitting hairs with measurement, to you it may not
be much, but to a bee it is and could be a wide as the
wrist you have relative to a bee for change.
Something to think about for now. Will get back in a day or
two as I go thoroughly over the foundation sent. Have
already talked to Jack Thomas for what I will be looking
at.
