A friend is looking for information on Teacher Resource Centers and I offered to post her request to this list. See her note below. Please respond directly to Barb at the email address below. I'm sure she'd be willing to post a summary of responses if people are interested. She's made the same request of the botanical garden equivalent to ISEN.

Subject: Teacher Resource Centers

Greetings from Missouri!

We are in the process of evaluating our teacher resource center and are
trying to identify the characteristics of good models of resource
centers. Do any of you have resource centers that serve classroom
teachers and/or staff?

If so, I'm interested in knowing some of the following things:

What is the mission (informally) for your TRC?

Who uses it?

What is the level of its current use?

How do you fund it?

How do you staff it?

How do you market it to teachers, schools and/or school districts?

Have you done any evaluation of your resource center?

Do you have any information about your TRC that you can forward my way?

We will have plenty of other questions as we go along, but if I can get
some feedback up front that would really help us out, as we plan how to
evaluate our center. Thanks so much for any information you can
provide.
