Bishop Museum in Honolulu is looking for a Science Education Manager.
Bishop Museum is a leading museum of Hawaiian and Polynesian culture and
history.  It also opened the 17,500 square foot Science Adventure Center
this last November and has an extensive science outreach program.

Science Education Manager duties include:

*         Plan, develop and implement science education programs for
Bishop Museum. 

*         Identify new initiatives, programs and directions for science
education within the education department.

*         Seek grant opportunities to support education programs;
responsible for writing, timely reporting and compliance with grants. 

*         Supervise science education staff, presents science education
programs to customers.

The position requires prior experience in formal or informal education;
experience in developing, writing and managing grants; and good oral and
written communication skills. Education requirement: Masters Degree in
education, museum studies, a science field or equivalent on-the-job
experience.
