This is great news!   Hope it stimulates a lot of interest in finishing the 
archaeology and then reconstructing.   Of the four presidios in Alta 
California, San Francisco and Monterey are largely destroyed and excavation would 
intrude on later occupation (also historical).   Santa Barbara is partially 
preserved and partially disturbed by later building.   It is also located in one of 
the most expensive real estate areas of the state.   You guys have the best 
chance for a complete presidio!
