site catchment analysis

A rather vague assumption that the given resources of a geographic feature
could be identified by boundaries and quantified by proximity to the resources
to come up with a model to predict site type locations based on use. The big
problem was the geography never stood still long enough to be measured and
the variables were too unstable to measure, not to mention the whole scenario
changed over time!
