MAAC (Middle Atlantic Archaeological Conference) is letting us
piggyback Ironmasters on their conference. The emphasis is on
colonial iron.

When: March 15th-18th, 2007
Where: Cavalier Hotel, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23451

Skip Williams and Lee Sauder are doing a presentation on how to
bloom. The CW smiths will bloom at Colonial Williamsburg. I will be
giving a paper on the colonial iron industry of Virginia. Need more
people to step up to the plate to make it at least a half day of
papers. Schedule has the demo on Saturday and papers Sunday.

If there is interest, we can probably arrange a behind the scenes
tour of the "iron" collection at CW. It may also be possible to visit
some of the early ironworks (Hunters, Tubal, etc.), either Friday or
Sunday afternoon on the way home.
