For students of material culture both past, present, and future, you should
visit Christie's upcoming auction of uniforms, furniture and artifacts from 40
years' production of the Star Trek series.

As a preservationist, I am somewhat saddened to see this material dispersed
but as a collector, I should do wish I could afford a Tribble! I hope there
is a museum somewhere that has a good representative sample.

In viewing this material in person, I got the distinct impression there will
be a lot of money spent at this sale. (Certainly it will bring new meaning
to the saying "Go Forth and Prosper")

Lot 295 should generate some discussion: NATIVE AMERICAN-STYLE ART FROM
CHAKOTAY'S QUARTERS AND OFFICE
