The University of West Florida Department of Anthropology invites
applications for Biological Anthropologists for a tenure track Assistant
Professor in Anthropology starting August 2007. Applicants must have a
PhD in hand in Anthropology from a North American university with a
specialty in Bioarchaeology and/or Forensic Anthropology.
Responsibilities include a 3/3 teaching load at the introductory,
advanced and graduate levels and regular summer field courses, advising
undergraduates and graduates, serving on graduate committees, and
directing theses. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to obtain
outside funding and to manage projects. Research will incorporate
students and will need to link to existing programs and include the
local area. Our Department values teamwork. Salary: $40,000 - $50,000.
