I heard an enchanting performance on the radio last night of Harrison
Birtwistle's 2004 piece, 'Night's Black Bird', by the New York Philharmonic
with Christoph von Dohnanyi conducting. As far as I can tell, there are
no recordings available. Does anyone know if there is a recording in
the works? Or, better still, point me to a recording that I've missed
-- or does anyone know if a recording of the NYPO/Dohnanyi performance
will be available?
