Duluth, MN-Archaeologist
EMR, Inc. – Duluth, MN. EMR is requesting resumes of qualified
archaeologists for field surveys and cultural resource reporting in
Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, and/or Wisconsin. Archaeologist(s) must be
well-spoken and able to communicate with regulatory agencies regarding
surveys and federal/state review.
Requirements:
• Masters degree in Archaeology or an archaeology specialty (i.e. Industrial
Archaeology) completed by August 2007.
• Registered with the Registration of Professional Archaeologists by
September 15, 2007.
• Ability to design and complete archaeological/cultural resource field
surveys in an efficient manner.
• Physically capable of completing intensive surveys, with no field
assistance. Or, ability to train and manage inexperienced survey crew.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight during survey periods.
• Ability to work under strict timelines.
• Good report writing skills.
Desired:
• Fluent in GIS / GPS technology
• Experience with Section 106 NHPA reviews
• Interest or experience in other natural resource survey work such as
threatened and endangered species, songbirds and raptors, and rare plants.
