heavy duty). There were several manufacturers (mainly Trenton, NJ and East
Liverpool Ohio) who produced logos or top marks for lunch counters and
restaurants. Lunch counter top marks tend to be green although a few are
polychrome.
A good source for maker's marks on heavy duty restaurant and diner ceramic
table ware is Lehner's Encyclopedia of U.S. Marks on Pottery, Porcelain, &
Clay. There are a number of years of issue, but I think the most recent is 2005.
