The Korean Concert Society will present its 25th annual concert at 7:30PM,
Saturday, 29 October 2005 in the Terrace Theater at the Kennedy Center
in Washington D.C. The following works will be performed:

1. Rounds for String Orchestra by David Diamond,
2. The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires by Astor Piazzolla, and,
3. Death and the Maiden, D. 810, Schubert arr. for string orchestra by
   G. Mahler.

The soloist in "The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires" will be reknowned
violinist Chee-Yun Kim (who I believe has adopted her given name, Chee-Yun,
as her stage name). Miss Kim, who enjoys an international career as
a soloist, is affiliated with the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.

The concert also will feature the International Sejong Soloists,
which is comprised of students at the Juilliard Conservatory (recent
grads also may be included). Since 1998 the ISS has served as the
ensemble-in-residence at the Aspen Music Festival. Their founder and
Music Director, Mr. Hyo Kang, is a high-profile teacher at Juilliard
who worked closely for many years with the late Dorothy Delay.

Tickets for the performance are $50.00 each, and are available at the
Kennedy Center Box Office or by phone at 202.467.4600. I am confident
members of this List would find this concert to be music at a high level.
The Korean Concert Society is a volunteer organization that has a
distinguished history of supporting young artists.
