By an odd coincidence, the other day in class I was showing the Young
People's concert broadcast where Bernstein discusses "What is American
Music." There was a shot of Drucker playing the opening of Rhapsody in
Blue!  What a great player!  That guy needs to write a book about his
life and all of the great musicians he worked with (I recall he was
interviewed for at least a portion of one book)...the stories he could
probably tell...I guess he is still too busy playing.

He joined the Philharmonic when Mitropoulos was conducting!
