It will be interesting to see how bees extract a non-sugar nectar from 
dried leaves, which is where the sweetener is.

The original article does not make sense and seems more typical of a 
reporter getting it totally wrong but earnestly reporting what they 
think they heard. Or a government official doing the same, but funding it.
