Hi CK,
With experience from over 60 3D attractions all over the world - these are
my thoughts:
1. The cost of the circular glasses is higher no mater if they are
disposable or plastic. (The ratio is about the same). Your price for the
liner paper glasses is very good, you might be able to find circular ones
for less then 1.4$.
2. Plastic glasses get scratch, broken, stolen - and even with investment in
cleaning - they will last on average 5.8 users before becoming useless.
My recommendation is:
Use disposable glasses, but collect it after the use. Most of the glasses
will be reusable. Just throw away scratched ones, dirty ones, torn
ones...and reuse the rest. You will be able to use each unit 2.2 times on
average.
1.4$/2.2= 0.63$ per use
15$/5.8 = 2.58$ per use
I'm in HK in about 2 weeks; we can get together for a chat if you wish.
Best Regards,
Ami Dror

Hi All
At our museum, we are getting more and more exhibits require polarized
eyeglasses for 3-D shows. Then, we immediately come to a dilama whether
use-once paper type or reusable plastic one is more economy.
Now, we are using paper one (linear) costs around US$0.12 each. However,
the next exhibit will use circular one that costs around US$1.4 each. This
really drive us to think twice whether to clean the plactic one by washing
machine will be cost effective.
Therefore, I would eagler to know your experience in using plactic polarized
eyeglasses and whether you have them cleaned in-house or by outside service
provider?
Thanks
