Here is a well written article about adoptive nursing from the Journal of the
American
Board of Family Medicine. The author even behooves family physicians to
learn about adoptive nursing in order to help women who want to. She also
mentions referral to an LC if the doctor doesn't have the skills to help. Dr Gabbay
is mentioned and referenced, as well. It's good to see more
breastfeeding-related articles on Pedscape, so perhaps, as Linda Smith said to me recently, "do
you think our time has come?" (not an exact quote but the message is the
same)
