Greetings:
-the queen excluder has a main purpose and that is to keep the queen in her
respective location.
-the reasons for using the excluders for that purpose are many.
-one of those reasons is to keep her from laying in the honey supers.
some leave the excluder in place all season and some remove the excluder
once there is enough brood/bees, allowing her to move up and lay, claiming that
she won't go very high once honey fills the combs.
Questions: Who does what and for what reason?
Plastic vs. Wire excluders
Will and do excluders reduce the efficiency of honey storage in a super?
