ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

As Beryl mentions, a histogram is a possibility. One example that seemed to
work well: The Maryland Science Center asked visitors to put a penny in the
plex column that corresponded to their age range, and a graph resulted.

We used a similar technique in an exhibition about global warming. We posed
a question about public policy, with plex columns for responding "agree" or
"disagree." Turned out people voted not only with pennies, but with larger
coins and bills. We collected so much money in the "agree" column, we had to
figure out what to do with the money. (We decided host museums should use it
in their environmental programs.)
